The Circular Economy is the alternative to the Linear Economy

To achieve this goal of sustainability in the fashion industry, the first step that must be taken is to move from the current paradigm of Linear Economy (extract-use-throw away),to the paradigm of the Circular Fashion Economy Canada (make / redo – use / reuse) in which, at the end of the life cycle of the product (LCA), we maintain the product (or the materials that compose it) for as long as possible, eliminating the concept of waste and extracting its maximum value.

· Be clear that the Circular Economy preserves natural capital, extends the useful life of products, captures the maximum value of existing products and structures, and eliminates the concept of waste, waste and discard.

· Think about the end of the cycle of a product before creating it (Ecodesign).

· The Circular Fashion Economy Canada must not be restricted only to the recycling of materials. There are other loops, other sectors, that also belong to the subject: repeat textiles, processes, forms of consumption, design and even business models.
